This program allows students to maintain their training regime through weekday evening classes at the LI
Ballet Academy & Dance during the break between our school year and summer intensive programs. This is a great and affordable
way to stay in shape and improve technique.
Young Summer
Dancers • June 7-June 25, 2010
This program offers weekly classes for students ages
3-5. Continuing students and new students are welcome to take classes on a weekly basis for the entire 3-weeks session. The program for our youngest students encourages children to enjoy the exciting world of movement.
Children Summer
Intensives • July 12-August 20, 2010
This program allows for intensive training for intermediate
students in the Level I through Level II. This half-day camp has fun filled days with classes at The LI Ballet Academy & Dance.
The Program will include:
Ballet technique classes, Stretch Classes, Variations, Turn Classes, Character Classes, Acting Classes, Modern and Jazz .

Classes are Monday through
Friday 9 :30 AM to 5:30 PM with rehearsals from 4 :30 PM to 5:30 PM.

Former principal dancer of Yakobson Ballet Company and former Faculty member of Vaganova Ballet Academy.
Alexei Borovik
Former Principal Dancer with Pennsylvania
Ballet,Perm Ballet Theater. Mr. Borovik was awarded the Second Prize at The Artistic Ballet Competition in Moscow in
1984 . In 1987, he won the Gold Medal at The Sixth Concours International Ballet Festival of Peru and honored with a decoration
as "Merited Artist of Russia.
Theresa Diaz-DiLallo
Graduated cum laude from Queens College with a BA in Dance and has a Masters Degree
in Elementary Education. Performed with Circle of Dance Repertory Company. Theresa has been teaching in studios in Queens and
Long Island for almost twenty years Staff member at Dellecave Institute where she conducts a course
for teachers on how to implement movement into the academic curriculum.
All members of the faculty will be teaching
all levels students.
Live auditions:
Live auditions will be held at the Long Island Ballet Academy
and Dance on
March 06 10:30-12:00 AM, March 20 10:30-12:00 AM
by appointment.
Teachers will adjust student’s body manually to correct alignment and/or technique. If student
does not allow this practice, please do not audition.
Requirements:
Students
should wear only leotards and tights, no skirts or warmers. Bring short resume including the student’s name and address,
birth date and ballet training background.
Audition Fee:
$25.00 and

Photos
should be:
1. in first arabesque
2. In second position echappe (on Pointe If applies)
By Video:
Students unable to attend live auditions may audition by video DVD-R.
Absolutely no performance videos. Students should wear only leotards and tights for this video, no skirts or costumes. Video
must be accompanied by a resume including the student’s name and address, birth date and ballet training background.
The application fee for video is $20.00-personal check or money order to LI Ballet Academy and Dance.
Video Requirements:
· A la barre: Tendu, Fondu, Grand Battements
· Center: Develope
devant, a la seconde; first arabesque; pirouettes en dedans and en dehors; sautes in first position (16 jumps)
·
Diagonal: Grand jetes
· Pointe work: Echappe combination with passé; pirouettes (for advanced students:
fouettes turns)
· Men’s Requirements: Entrechat Six; single or double tour en l’air.
